Ch. 9 of Blogs, Wikis, and Podcast

After reading this chapter it looks like we are heading into an unbelievable time in our future. It's very exciting and yet very scary at what we are about to embark on as teachers, learners, readers and editors. The web is going to make teachers teach in a completely different way where we have to teach skills to collect, store and retrieve relevant information throughout their lives. Knowing how to find information will be more important than knowing the information. The web will be the teacher and the teachers the facillitators and also editors. Technology is making us rethink content and curriculum and how best to teach students. We will have a Read/Reflect/Write/Participate Web that will continue to grow and grow beyond our imagination and this will improve student learning.

Differentiated Instruction

There was alot to learn in such a short time. It would be great to implement all of these things in the classroom, at least some of them would be nice. I like several of the ideas . Friday workshop sounds really good to do with a class. I think these would engage students and stimulate their learning. Hopefully I can try some of these by the end of the year. Our class was nice but once the bugs are worked out it would be better and maybe a little longer. Thank you Mary!
